FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF MCKINLEY ON-RAMP TO SOUTHBOUND 99
The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with Granite Construction Co.
announces the temporary closure of the Southbound 99 on-ramp from McKinley Avenue in the
city of Fresno as part of the current State Route 99 Realignment Project. This temporary closure
will last approximately four (4) months and reopen in late July.
Beginning Wednesday, March 30th the Southbound 99 on-ramp from McKinley Avenue will be closed temporarily for approximately four (4) months in order to complete work as part of the 99 Realignment Project. For access to Southbound 99, motorists are encouraged to utilize the nearest on-ramps at Olive Avenue or Clinton Avenue. Commuters are reminded to adhere to road closure signage and watch for road construction vehicles and personnel at all times. Commuters are encouraged to avoid this
area and use alternate routes if possible. Closures may continue for longer periods of time if
necessary, due to delays caused by weather or uncontrollable events that may occur during
